OCX 2012 poster by Joost Swarte
We are completely awestruck that the legendary comic artist and designer Joost Swarte, one of this years OCX guests, has designed the poster for us. We think it is absolutely beautiful! And, as if that was not enough, he has also designed this years OCX t-shirt, which will be on sale from the info table in the marketplace during the festival
Swarte has made comics since the 60s, and an extensive collection of his work was recently published in Norwegian. In addition to his artistic work, Swarte is also a renowned designer. In addition to graphic design, he has designed everything from furniture through stained glass windows to a whole theater in his home town of Haarlem in the Netherlands.
Joost Swarte will be interviewed by Matthias Wivel on Saturday, June 9 at 5 pm in the program tent, and the day before a sales exhibition of his poster work will open at Ballhaus.
Welcome to Oslo!
Oslo Comics Expo (OCX) is an annual comics festival in Oslo, Norway. We may not be among the biggest comics conventions, but ever since the beginning in 2007 we have worked to make the event an important meeting place for professionals and comic fans alike, and we strive to showcase the best of international artists and publishers to the Norwegian audience.
Want to be part of it?
Admission to Oslo Comics Expo is free and open for all. We are situated inside two big tents in a park in one of the most popular shopping/cafe districts in Oslo, and get a lot of walk-in visitors in addition to those who come specifically for the festival. If you want to be an exhibitor at OCX, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
